Welcome to the Arizona Protection Dog Club!

Before you begin the sign-up process, please contact us at 928-533-6750. Our team will provide you with all the necessary details and a unique activation code required to proceed with your membership registration.

RULES:

• Rule 1: Don’t be a dick.
• Rule 2: All handlers are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is conducive to the safety of all members, and the public at large.
• Rule 3: All dogs must be securely contained in a locked cage, crate or kennel in your vehicle until the team is called on deck or to the field.
• Rule 4: All video/photos posted on APDC or Armor K9 must be approved by the voted in APDC Social Media Content Screener. Do not post video of other people’s dogs on any social media.
• Rule 5: If in doubt about anything, refer back to Rule #1.

GUIDELINES:

Membership

1. All members must submit a completed membership application and pay necessary fees.
2. Members must agree to abide by the club’s Code of Conduct, Rules/Guidelines, and sign a Release of Liability/Waiver.

Invited Guests

1. Guests are welcome but must follow club rules and sign a Release of Liabilty / Waiver.
2. They should maintain a safe distance from the training areas and not distract the dogs or handlers.

Dog Requirements

1. Dogs must be in good health, with up-to-date vaccinations.
2. Dogs should be sociable, without showing undue aggression.

Training Rules

1. Handlers must maintain control over their dogs at all times.
2. Only humane training methods and equipment are allowed.

Equipment and Attire

1. Use appropriate, well-fitting, and non-damaging equipment for dogs.
2. Handlers should wear suitable attire for physical activity, closed toe shoes, and no loose jewelry.

Facility Usage

1. Members must respect the facilities, keeping them clean and in good condition.
2. Properly dispose of waste, including dog waste, in designated areas.

The Arizona Protection Dog Club is committed to promoting responsible dog ownership, training, and the welfare of protection dogs. All club members are expected to adhere to this Code of Conduct to ensure the safety, well-being, and reputation of the club as follows: 1. Respect and Sportsmanship:

• Treat all members, trainers, and dogs with respect and courtesy.
• Display good sportsmanship during club activities, competitions, and training sessions.
• Avoid confrontational behavior or aggressive actions toward other members.

2. Safety:

• Prioritize safety for all participants, dogs, and the general public.
• Comply with all local laws and regulations related to dog ownership and training.
• Follow safety guidelines provided by the club and trainers.

3. Dog Welfare:

• Provide proper care, nutrition, and veterinary attention for your protection dog.
• Never engage in cruel, abusive, or harmful training methods.
• Ensure that you dog’s physical and mental well-being is a top priority.

4. Training and Obedience:

• Attend training session regularly to maintain your dog’s skill and obedience, and your handling skills.
• Use humane training methods. Follow your trainer’s direction.
• Keep your dog under control at all times.

5. Non-Discrimination:

• While APDC is an exclusive club requiring membership application and club member approval, it is open to all individuals regardless of race, gender, nationality, religion, or other personal attributes. Discrimination in this regard will not be tolerated.

6. Communication:

• Maintain open and respectful communication with other club members and trainers.
• Address concerns or conflicts immediately and in a constructive manner.

7. Confidentiality:

• Respect the privacy and confidentiality of club members and training methods.
• Do not disclose sensitive information without permission.

8. Public Image:

• Behave responsibly in public with your protection dog, as you actions reflect on the club.
• Promote the positive image of protection dogs as well-behaved and obedient animals.

9. Compliance:

• Comply with the club’s bylaws, rules, and policies.
• Follow the decisions and guidance of the club’s leadership and trainers.

Violations: Report any violations of the Code of Conduct to the club’s leadership for appropriate action. Consequences of Violations: Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in warnings, suspension, or expulsion from the Arizona Protection Dog Club, depending on the severity and recurrence of the offense. By becoming a member of the Arizona Protection Dog Club, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and contribute to the responsible ownership and training of protection dogs.

I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions as a prerequisite for participating in any activities offered by Arizona Protection Dog Club:

1. Assumption of Risk: I understand and acknowledge that participating in protection dog training and related activities involves inherent risks, including by not limited to dog bites, scratches, falls, and other injuries to myself, others, and my dog.
2. Health and Vaccination: If applicable, I certify that my dog is up-to-date on vaccinations and is in good health. I will provide proof of vaccination if requested by Arizona Protection Dog Club.
3. Training Techniques: If applicable, I understand that Arizona Protection Dog Club employs specific training techniques that may involve physical contact with my dog. I consent to the use of these techniques during training sessions.
4. Release of Liabilty Waiver: I consideration of my participation, I hereby release and discharge Arizona Protection Dog Club, its owners, board members, trainers, employees, agents, members, and volunteers, from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, causes of action, costs, and expenses, whether at law or in equity, arising out of any bodily injury, property damage, or other loss I may suffer while participating in activities offered by Arizona Protection Dog Club.
5. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Arizona Protection Dog Club, its owners, board members, trainers, employees, agents, members, and volunteers, from any and all claims or lawsuits brought by third parties arising out of my participation in training activities.
6. Photography and Videography: I consent to Arizona Protection Dog Club using photographs, videos, or other media of me and my dog for promotional and educational purposes without compensation.
7. Applicable Law: This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

I, the undersigned, hereby apply for membership in the Arizona Protection Dog Club. I understand and agree to abide by the club’s Rules and Guidelines, Code of Conduct, and will sign the Release of Liability Waiver. I understand that the club promotes responsible dog ownership, training, and activities related to Protection Dogs.

I understand membership fees are due monthly and I will receive a bill via Zelle on the first of each month. Dues are due no later than the 5th of each month. Failure to pay dues will result in suspension of APDC’s services until payment is received.
